So I haven't posted in ummm...a month, so I figured I should catch up. I am really hoping I can get better at this. Originally I started this blog to write about things that happened to me while traveling for work. I've had a few funny things happen to me...
On the first day of training I locked myself outside on my balcony only to look through the window to see that the latch was still on the door inside. I had to go into the lobby half dressed only to realize that my entire class was in the lobby waiting on the shuttle. I went to the desk and attempted to quietly let the lady at the front desk know my predicament...she however was not that quiet when she called and explained my situation to the maintenance man, Fred. At this point the shuttle was there so I had to walk to my room with Fred...when I left he had crow barred the latch off and was installing a new one.
That night, back in the room, while channel surfing, I came across some hard core porn. I felt like the hotel should know that some kids in their rooms could be watching this (and also to make sure I wasn't being charged) so of course I call the front desk. The guy is laughing so hard he could hardly speak. He apologized and asked if there was anything he could do....huh??...no thank you...just wanted to let you know.
Monday was my 1 year wedding anniversary. I can't believe a whole year has already passed. It has been better than I could have ever imagined. My DH (lol) is such a wonderful, supportive, awesome being.
We revisited the city we got married in on Saturday. We even went back to the same square to re-enact the ceremony...while standing there he pulls out a box and gave me the most beautiful diamond earrings. After that we ate dinner with his parents. The next day we went over to Charleston for the day and after that went to the beach to spend two nights. On Monday, we got up, had breakfast, played tennis and sat on the beach all day with cold drinks and great conversation. We made plans for where we wanted to be by this time next year. It was a great time.
